ARE acquires the remaining shares of Enerz and appoints Rene Zidbeck as Senior Vice President of Energy and Expert Services

ARE strengthens its energy and expert services by acquiring the remaining shares of Enerz, a provider of energy efficiency solutions. Enerz will continue to operate as an independent company within ARE’s energy and expert services. Rene Zidbeck, who is relinquishing his minority stake, will be appointed as SVP of Energy and Expert Services and a member of the management team starting January 1, 2025. He will also continue in his administrative roles at Enerz.

In January 2023, ARE acquired a 77% majority stake in Enerz, which focuses on energy efficiency projects and building automation. Enerz employs around fifty highly educated experts and operates not only in Finland but also in the Baltic countries. Its revenue forecast for 2024 is approximately 16 million euros. With this newly signed share purchase agreement, ARE will own the entire share capital of Enerz, strengthening its position in the market.

Enerz will continue to operate independently as part of ARE’s energy and expert services business.

The signed acquisition will not cause any personnel changes in either company. Rene Zidbeck will take on a broader responsibility as the Director of Energy and Expert Services for ARE. Otto Vähä-Herttua will take responsibility for leading Enerz’s Finnish operations as Country Manager starting January 1, 2025.
